Togo mourns its former "president"

The Togolese political class in mourning, the former president of the national assembly from 2005 to 2013, El Hadj Abass Bonfoh has bowed out. Retired a few years ago, the native of Kabou (Bassar) gave up his soul on the night of June 29 to 30, 2021 at the age of 73.
Member of the Togolese People’s Rally, then of the Union for the Republic, Abass Bonfoh being President of the National Assembly before the death of President General Gnassingbé Eyadéma, he acted as interim from February 25 to May 4, 2005 before returning at his expense for 8 years.
Recall that he was born on November 23, 1948 in his native village (Kabou).
