A training workshop gathered since yesterday at the hotel la Détente in Kpalimé, media professionals on the SCAPE (Strategy for Accelerated Growth and Employment Promotion). Organized by the Technical Secretariat of the DRSP (Document Reduction and Strategy Poverty), with the support of the ADB (African Development Bank) and the EU (European Union), the workshop, which will end on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, aims to equip actors of communication and information on the content of the SCAPE for its good extension, its implementation and monitoring and evaluation.

According to Paul Kamaga, Technical Secretary PRSP, "workshop for capacity building of stakeholders’ communication is very important, because the media is a key player in the development process. Hence, the importance of their involvement in the process of SCAPE to its success. While thanking the partners, namely the ADB and the EU for their support for the development of this new growth strategy, he said that the contents of the SCAPE is the short term 2013-2017 and must be appropriated by the participants, so that they could relay the information to the public.

Let us remember that this workshop brings together some forty journalists over the whole territory and lasts for three days from 26 to 28 November 2012. Journalists are maintained on several communications, monitoring practice sessions.
