The Assumption Technical Commercial Institute based in Sokodé about 320 km from Lomé is closing its doors until further notice in order to limit the spread of the pandemic. The news of the closure comes from the management of the ITC Assomption complex.
The vertiginous rise of the coronavirus disease in Togo is taking on a worrying pace. While the country has just registered the 81st, a local school announces the closure of its doors. In a press release, titled "ITC Assumption Shutdown", it is reported that the positive cases of Covid-19 in the Assumption complex forced the authorities to close the said complex, including ITC Assumption. The closure announced on February 15, 2021 is until further notice. The press release calls on all parents and students to scrupulously comply with barrier measures and to be attentive to changes in the health situation "".
